An Identity Poem by Kesuma Mkare

This Is Whom I Am

Short and black
Rising from great tropical savannahs
Getting improved in the tropical forest
Preparing for future development of the world.

A young rising star
Spreading like a spear
Struggling for development
Wish to do what is meant.

Imaginative and creative
Coming up with new alternatives
Cope with different challenges
Makes and implements changes.

Think of imaginations
Do preparations
Make interpretations
Under here he gets the solutions.

Represent ethnic minorities
Stand for what is right
Makes everyone equal
Promotes unity and love.
